The Spring Tiger Chronicle
Apr. 3rd, 2021 05:53 pmWhen we just moved to Geneva, and I went to my first French course, I failed on a very simple question:
'When does spring come?', asked us the teacher.
'March 1st,' I meowed, shrugging my shoulder.
'No! Our spring comes on March 20. This is the first day of spring here!', the teacher objected.

Well, it's not "here" anymore. In addition, for me (now I know it for sure), spring comes according to the weather, instead of being attached to calendars. Secondly, even "here" (i.e. "there" for now), spring does not come exactly on March 20 either. Maybe because "here" can also be pretty different, as poor Eeyore would say.
But let's return back to "here" (really here for now:)
* * *
- Today is the first day of the spring! - My computer and Andrey informed me almost
simultaneously on March 20.
Remembering my first French teacher, I decided not to argue. Just in case - you understand me, I hope:)
But we (i.e. Mom-Tiger and the little Tiger cub) went out for a walk. In spite of the double promise, there was no scent of the spring outside. Local authorities (like me), did not believe in any spring and decided not to open restaurants. One little dog (white & fluffy) also expressed its 'fie' to such a decision of the authorities. Firm and doggy, in order not to leave any doubts, he raised his back paw directly to the green restaurant lantern. My favorite one with is with a white parrot inside.
But then it went a little bit better, and we even began to believe that the spring had arrived. In the nest on one of three trees next to the old school a couple of storks were sitting and arguing loudly with another couple flying over their nest: 'If you're flying - fly by!'
Realizing, that the famous expression of M.Bulgakov that "the housing problem had spoiled the people of Moscow" could be definitely expanded to other groups, and we went further. There we were finally convinced of the beginning of spring on the children playground. Two famous poodles of our town happily played there. They were still white (Coco & black Cuba), but they both were not fluffy anymore :)
* * *
If we have already started talking about animals with dogs, and the characters of M.Bulgakov, I have to add that on the same day we realized one more thing: the knitted mice from the children's program are really like elephants (i.e. very useful animals:) They talk about music, about comets and a solar eclipse. What can not be said at all about monkeys ...
