The State Border
Feb. 1st, 2017 05:14 pmNowadays in Geneva we face unexpected cold weather. Add to it the regular high humidity, and you can easely imagine our pretty unwelcome days to stay outside. No, no, do not worry, I'm not going to write about the weather. But its influence on locals can't be excluded either.
This Thursday I went out after one of Cern's lesson and rushed vigorously to the tram stop. As you could learnt at school, frosty fresh air often encourages your tired force. So on: first, up the hill, then down the hill, after climb up towards the gates of Cern, and, finally, the last short piece of path to the tram stop on the plane surface. However, the "finally" turned out to be not to much successful: Cern gatekeepers caught me right at the gate, demanded to show my
"Well", one would say in unison with Karlsson and Lillebror. "It's all
nonsense, the point is everyday!"
I was almost agree with this (especially after I had come home and got rid off the cold of outside), but one thing still bothers me: why I needed submit the documents leaving Cern, and what it looks like?
There are several assumptions:
a) Big Brother is watching us!
b) It's necessary to somehow justify the money investment of sponsors and, at the same time, to demonstrate zeal for work and defense.
c) It was just influence of weather and extreme continental climate of the Mediterranean
d) What would they do if I had not found my pass? Would they leave me in Cern forever? Or would I have to sacrifice my tail :)

P.S. Don't offer the opinion about the state border. Well, I'm sure that it's possible to walk through the CERN between two countries, but I also know that this can be done elsewhere. Where is no guards in
corps de garde with dogs, and there are no dogs at all :)
